I never found it easy to deal with conflicts. I was brought up in an environment, where conflicts were never really dealt with constructively. Arguments and differences really bothered me and so I did what a lot of people do when something bothers them: avoided it or overly accommodated others. This eventually led to a lot of resentment and bitterness, especially when others were not as sensitive to my emotions or needs.
Over the years, I accumulated a lot of hurt, disappointment, anger and fear due to unresolved differences, and also lost some wonderful relationships.
I knew that things needed to change! I dived deep into the study of psychology of conflicts, I recognised how we all have default styles of reacting to conflicts, and most often it doesn’t work in our favour. We learn these patterns in our early life from our environment, and tend to play it out the rest of our lives.
After learning from some extraordinary teachers on how to deal with conflicts, it broadened my outlook and I no longer felt stuck in my old patterns. I learnt that there are powerful ways to handle even the most difficult situations with ease and grace.
Was it always easy? No. But with time and consistent effort, a lot of things started to change. Today, conflicts don’t fill me with dread the way they used to. I am more centered, respectful and compassionate as I navigate through disagreements.
Conflicts are natural and necessary. They allow us to express what needs to be different. We just need to know how to do it, and this workshop teaches you exactly that. It’s a power-packed 2 hour program that encapsulates years of wonderful insights into managing conflicts with ease.
